ThinkWorks Enrichment Programs
ThinkWorks enrichment programs provide after-school classes for TK-5th grade students and include sports, chess, language arts, sewing, and more!
Registration for the first session of ThinkWorks opens August 26th at 10am and closes September 9th at 5pm. Classes begin in September and continue into December. Classes will fill up quickly, so please be sure to register right away.
A portion of each registration fee comes back to Alamo School Ed Fund.

This dynamic program is thoughtfully designed to spark creativity and introduce young learners to the exciting world of entrepreneurship. Each day brings new adventures as students explore different aspects of business, fostering teamwork, creativity, and critical thinking along the way. With a focus on real-world skills, students gain a strong foundation in business concepts while building confidence in their ideas and abilities. Throughout the course, young innovators will explore stories of real entrepreneurs and dive into marketing, business planning, finance, and branding by designing colorful logos and developing customer service skills through engaging role-playing activities. The program concludes with a showcase—a pretend marketplace where students get to sell their products in a realistic but playful classroom setting, proudly presenting their projects and creative ideas to others.

Spanish Class (TK/Kinder) ~ 3:00 - 4:00pm

This is a Hands-on and Interactive, Friendly Spanish Immersion ("FSI") program designed specifically for Kindergartners. The younger the children are when gaining exposure to a new language the easier it is for them to learn and retain it. Curriculum consists of: Language time (vocabulary words), exercise time (command words like jump, skip, walk, run, etc.) visuals (flashcards, puzzle pieces, toys, books and more), music (singing), art projects, games and much more. The goal of this program is to introduce the Spanish languageand be the first building block for the grades ahead. New material is introduced each session. This is an absolutely engaging and fun program for kindergartners! Kindergarteners love it and learn much more.

Discover an excitement for engineering by building real solutions—not follow-along LEGO models. Our students design, prototype, and test inventions like long-jumping motorized frogs or weight-lifting four-legged robots, all using LEGO Technic parts and motors.
Note: This class is recommended for Grades 1-3. Grades 4-5 can register as well, but the class may be less challenging for these students.

We make Math FUN, ENGAGING & REWARDING
At Mathnasium, we build strong math foundations to help children succeed in school and life. Our math-only program is tailored to each student, starting with a detailed assessment to identify learning gaps and strengths, followed by a tailored curriculum delivered in an engaging and 1:1 teaching setting.
Program Highlights:
- Assessment of skills: First session includes a written assessment and math activity. Results are emailed to parents. If the student is significantly behind, we recommend an additional session per week at our center in Alamo Plaza

- Session Structure: 50 mins of Mathnasium curriculum, followed by 10 mins of fun math activities, spin-the-wheel rewards, and prize redemption

This weekly enrichment class allows young performers to explore iconic songs from the screen while building real vocal and stage skills in a supportive, creative environment. Each week, students will learn and rehearse songs from popular films and musicals, practice vocal and performance skills, create themed props or simple costume pieces to enhance their stage presence, work on staging, movement, and storytelling through song, and collaborate with peers to prepare for a fun end-of-session showcase. Whether you're new to performing or already love the spotlight, this class offers a space to grow, express yourself, and shine!

Instead of grinding through repetitive coding puzzles, students design multiple mini-games each class. Kids code in our Scratch-based app on iPads, which teachers fine-tune to each student to ensure they feel challenged but never overwhelmed.

"Mom, I want to learn how to sew!” Sewing is not only fun and creative; but, it is a useful learning skill.
Children will learn how to safely thread a needle; draw and cut-out a pattern; and sew their own pieces by hand. Sewing techniques learned in this class: running stitch, slip stitch, how to sew buttons, and more. Children will make a "rag doll" and clothes for doll and other NEW sewing projects. Participants will learn, play and compete in fun Skyhawks variations of everyone’s favorite games such as Banana Tag, Danger Ball, Kickball, Dodgeball, Quidditch, Capture the Flag, etc. This is not our average skill development camp, but rather a camp for kids to come out after school and get some of their energy out while playing their favorite team games! By adding just the right amount of friendly competition, this program teaches boys and girls teamwork, sportsmanship, leadership, and strategy.
